Strategist, researcher, & AUTHOR OF THE 25-YEAR-LONG CLIENT STUDY: CLIENTIZE--WHo Gets in, Stays in, and why

FOR OVER TWENTY-FIVE YEARS,   I have been on a mission. I wanted to know how clients decide between competing solutions and services to solve strategic challenges they face.

     I wanted to know how decision-makers selected one vendor, one professional, and one solution over all the other vendors competing for the client's business.  I wanted to know what makes certain professionals and firms stand out above all the rest.

     I wanted to know what these professionals did to stand out. I wanted to know how professionals demonstrated their value to clients and the stakeholders who were charged with making strategic, expensive decisions in choosing between competing firms.

     So, I did something strange: I asked. Even stranger, the top executives and their direct reports told me. I could not believe it. Meeting after meeting, I asked, and they told me. I started writing their answers down. I made notes. I clarified. I listened. I made more notes.

      And I walked out with a notebook full of pages of advice, strategies, tactics, and ideas, on how to be successful and a list of things not to do. I applied the ideas, I turned my selling skills around. I was promoted. I hired three sales people. I was promoted again. I ran an office of 70 people. I was promoted again. Along the way, I was sharing my notes with my team. They became successful; and soon they were promoted.

       From here, I started making presentations. I was invited to speak more and more and I became a guest lecturer for business classes to universities and colleges.

​        One day I was looking at my notebooks brimming with the advice clients gave me and thought: what if I wrote these notes down on paper? That was the genesis of the book Clientize-Who Gets In, Stays In, and Why.


I have created this website for you. Free of charge. I get my "kicks" out of helping people. Even more, coaching people, lifting them up, explaining that if I can do it, so can you.

      I work for a great company that serves people who are less fortunate than most of us. We help people improve their lives. My role is a dream job. I help people who are on public assistance find work, find a purpose in life, and get back up on their feet.

       If you knew where I came from and could have seen me, I would never have given me a chance. But someone did and I am forever grateful. I shoveled, I dug, and I worked my tail off, but I never expected to have the life I have. My mother, a single parent, typed at night to keep us alive--literally. I won't go into the details, because while I thought I had it hard, I was fortunate to have a mother, who said: You can be anything you want to become. That was her message.

   It's the same message I have for you. If you are here, I have stuff. I am the king of stuff. Smart stuff, applicable stuff, stuff I have learned, and it is all free. Even my speaking--free of charge. If you want to pay me great--but know this--whatever you pay goes to charity. And if you don't want to pay--that's fine too.
